Hope for Christmas (Nugget #10) – Stacy Finz (Review)

Expected publication date: October 10, 2017

Cover blurb:

This Christmas in snow-capped Nugget, California, the gift of a second chance is all anyone can wish for . . .

Sparkling lights, sugar cookies, a fragrant tree—Emily McCreedy is checking off her list for a perfect holiday with a new baby on her hip, two adorable stepsons hunting for presents, and her husband’s love shoring up the life she rebuilt after the unbelievable tragedy of losing her young daughter to abduction seven years ago.

But the merriment dims when Emily receives a strange note alluding to her daughter’s disappearance. Emily’s sure Christmas miracles are only for TV movies, but with each new communication, she finds herself face to face with the one thing that matters most—hope.

One of my previous reviews was for Stacy’s ‘Need You’, and I mentioned in that one how I wanted to read her Nugget series since I loved that one so much.  I devoured all 9 books one right after the other-they are SO good!!  So take this as a recommendation that you NEED to read this series!  This is one where you really need to read them all in order because events and people from the books before are mentioned.  But I know that some of you don’t want to commit to long series (weirdos) so at a minimum you would need to read ‘Finding Hope’ (#2 in Nugget) first to get the proper introduction to Emily and Clay McCreedy.

This is going to be a different kind of review for me, because I don’t want to let on anything more than the cover blurb provides. So I will just talk about how much I *loved* the story!  Stacy’s writing has so much heart that you just can’t help but be touched with each new installment.  The depth of emotions in Clay and Emily’s story means that as a reader, you will feel right along with the characters.  I loved the glimpses of the other characters from the Nugget-verse, and I really hope the series will continue…especially as I’m hoping the end of this one was meant to leave it open for a follow-up!  (Hint, hint!)

A big thanks to Netgalley and Kensington/Lyrical Shine for the chance to read this gem early!
