Some book boyfriends are better than others…

Come on readers, it is all about quality, not quantity!  This is a lesson I’ve been trying to teach WW for years, and I think I’m finally getting through to her.  (Of course, the devil on my shoulder wants to point out that there are times where quantity is a gooood thing, but I’m trying to keep this relatively PG, heh heh!)  Lots of book boyfriends are definitely nice, but I keep mine to a more manageable level…which I need since I’m older and would have trouble keeping track of TOO many!  Therefore, here are my top 3:

  1. Ian Taggart from Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series…ah, Ian!  A completely alpha male who loves nothing more to kick ass, throw insults and think of various ways to kill people and hide the bodies..but loves his family and dessert!  Honestly though, one of my favorite things about him are the completely outrageous things that come out of his mouth sometimes: “I’m not joining your pussy-whipped men’s therapy group, Sean.” or  “Serena. See, perfect example. That was Jake and Adam screwing a client. I told them not to. She’s a writer. She’s obnoxious, and now I have to love her because she’s a damn member of the family. So find me a bar manager. Just because Serena’s knocked up by one of those morons and can’t drink, doesn’t mean that the rest of us should suffer.”  Big Tag is the best!!
  2. Aric Connor from Cecy Robson’s Weird Girls series.  Now, I know that WW is hot to trot for Misha, but Aric is the werewolf of a girl’s dreams!  Tall, hot and dreamy, with a “scent of fire, earth and water crashing over stones.”  And what woman wouldn’t want a guy who will say things like this? “You are my one and only mate.  I’ll never know love or happiness without you, and I’m nothing without your smile.”  Sob!!!  Plus throw in all the angst, and I am one happy camper!  (Psst, I would take Bren too!!)
  3. Curran Lennart from Ilona Andrew’s Kate Daniels series. If you read paranormal UF, then you don’t need an explanation for this one!  But if you’re like WW who hasn’t read them, then you need to know he’s a no-nonsense lion shifter who was the Beast Lord and head of the Pack until he stepped down for love…awww!!    Brawn, brains and he has a sense of humor, too!  “What kind of a woman greets the Beast Lord with ‘here, kitty, kitty’?”   Oddly, he and Ian have a lot of common, which probably helps!
“If you’re going to shoot, make sure to empty the clip, because after you’re done, I’ll shove that gun up your ass sideways.”
    Blue Jacket blinked.
“Can you even do that?” I asked.
“Let’s find out.” Curran stared at the thug. “Well? Shoot, so we can start this experiment.”

Now, here’s where you can find these bad yet SO good boys:
