Book Boyfriend(s)

Ok…let’s talk.  Now, I am a very happily married woman. Been with the husband for almost 20 years, which is like forever.  We have a nice life with 3 adorable, think demon adorable, kiddos.  But, I have a boyfriend.  Ok, maybe boyfriends…plural.  They are my book boyfriends.   And when I say plural, think 10’s…like maybe 13 sets of 10’s.  Give or take a few 10 or so.  FF was asking me how many book boyfriends I have, and I was like “I have no idea”. Is there a limit as to how many book boyfriends I can have.  Then I started thinking… how many do I have? Then I realized…I am a bookwhore.

While there many more, I will give you my top 5 book boyfriends:

  1. Aren *sigh ….I first met Aren in Sandy William’s fae urban fantasy The Shadow Reader series.  This was the first series FF gave me and because of that he is my #1.  Throughout the series, Aren is a boyish, charming, sweet, and yes even a jackass. He is of goodness and light, and even though he gets distracted and misinterprets situations, his only trying to protect those that he cares about.   He gets it right in the end and you really can’t help love his naiveté in all things human. But the next one….
  2. Reyes…oh sweet Son of Satan Reyes. He is hot and sexy with a hint of badassness, all rolled into one. He is made of all male godliness and sarcasm. But he loves fiercely and makes no qualms about it. He is all dark, intense and brooding. And did I mention he can cook?  You can read all about him in Darynda Jones’ Charley Davidson series, but he has already been claimed…by me.
  3. Adam & Jake hehe… I told FF I was counting them as 1. Now like I stated above, I am happily married and there is no ménage or BDSM anywhere in real life, but as book boyfriends, uh yeah.  Adam and Jake are part of Lexi Blakes’ Master and Mercenaries series.  Adam is the silly, fun, laid back, boy next door, delish like a bowl of ice cream, sweet and charming guy.  While Jake is the serious, wicked, hot alpha male.   He is the yang to Adam’s ying.  Together they are just like an old married couple but with, you know, needs. 😉
  4. Ah Misha, Misha, Misha…. What can I say about this Vampire manwhore who is in the middle of a lot of discussions between FF and I. She says Aric, I say, meh…but Misha…well, he is awesome. Misha is from Cecy Robson’s Weird Girl series. He is manwhore of the upmost degree and makes no apologies for it…he actually embraces it.  Everything he does, he does for his family.   He is brutally honest, but sweet and lovable. And did I mention he is a rich vampire?  He can give everlasting life. What more could a girl want? Maybe #5…
  5. Garret Kelly…nothing goes straight to my heart than a man that knows how to treat a lady. Give her chocolate, wine and books?  You are mine forever. Did I also mention he is former military and works alongside his brothers in Maya Banks’ KGI series?   So a hot, alpha, badass that brings his woman chocolate, wine and books?    He has been claimed.

So there you have it.  My top 5…. I could seriously go on and on, but I don’t have time to write a novel. And now, I want to go re-read all these books.   Because I have all the time in world to do so…not.
